The Group Gandaria has chosen Cordoba’s Science and Technology Park, Rabanales 21, to install its R&D+i. The presentation of the new office, located in the building Aldebaran of the Cordoba technopolis took place this morning.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the delegate of Economy, Innovation, Science and Labour, José Ignacio Exposito; the CEO of Rabanales 21, Juan Ramon Cuadros; Idea Agency manager in Cordoba, Manuel Perez Requena and Group CEO of Silos Cordoba, Juan Lopez Regalon.

Juan Ramon Cuadros has welcomed the decision of the Cordovan business group to locate its R&D department in the reference area of innovation in the province of Cordoba and has praised its strategic commitment to innovation as an essential tool to keep growing.

The delegate of the Andalusian Board emphasized that the implementation of this new space is an example of what should be a business commitment to innovation, research and development to continue to grow, “Silos Cordoba is very clear about this and has long worked in that line that has helped him move forward in economic development and expansiond, now taking a step further with the transfer and differentiation of its R&D+I Department in the Science and Technology Park to benefit from synergies arising from here “.

Silos Group CEO, Juan Lopez, explained that the company has been committed to research and development of its products  from the beginning and “this new department just means a transfer that will serve to further strengthen our strategy of investment in R & D, always pursuing excellence in all areas and working in the differentiation that will help us overcome future threats that may emerge. “ 

The Andalusian Board, through the agency Idea, is actively working with this group to help and ease their way and their development. To date, they have encouraged 11 projects with an investment of more than 800,000 euros. Among the major projects supported have been the automation of production lines, the purchase of machinery, the warehouse building and this new R&D+I Department.

Gandaria has also received support through the Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia, Extenda, which has enabled a major process of internationalization, since currently, the majority of the company sales are made outside Spain.

Besides, Silos Cordoba has returned to seek the assistance and collaboration of Idea for a new project focused on the construction of the new company Headquarters and manufacturing plant in the industrial area “La Azucarera” El Carpio.

Silos Cordoba was founded in 1975, dedicated to the manufacture of steel silos for grain storage worldwide. Besides offering a wide range of grain storage solutions (flat silos, hopper silos, truck load silos and farm silos), they also manufacture a full range of conveying machinery, livestock equipment, structures and metal coatings. To do this, the group is organized into four business units: Gandaria (development and assembly of facilities and plants for industrial and agricultural purposes), MATRA (Development and manufacturing of industrial conveying machinery); Gandaria (Manufacturing and sale of products for all sorts of livestock facilities), and Quinta Metalica (supply and installation of all types of metal coatings).
