Tambovskaia Indeika, a company created by Cherkizovo Group and Fuertes Group for turkey meat production in the region of Tambov (Russia) covers all production stages from livestock and feed manufacturing to meat processing.
The Fuertes Group is one of the most important business holdings of Spain and Cherkizovo Group is a leader in the production of meat processing in Russia.
On March 30, Governor Alexander Nikitin, along with Igor Babaev -Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cherkizovo Group – visited the new facilities of the international project Tambovskaia Indeika in the Pervomaisky district.
It is a pioneer project in the Russian market, whose meat production volume is expected to reach 50,000 tons per year.
The governor said the Indeika Tambovskaia project has a very significant social and economic impact, because it employs more than 200 residents of the Tambov region, plus 700 new jobs that will be created when the new facilities are opened.
The feed mill is currently in the final stages of construction and will have a capacity of 180,000 tons per year. It includes 10 flat bottom silos and 10 hopper silos with a total capacity of 90,000 tons, manufactured by Silos Córdoba. All of them are equipped with the latest technology, including pre-cleaning, drying and a filtration system.
The cereal is received directly from the harvest, cleaning and drying are performed within the facilities.
The reception output, as well as the cleaning machinery, is of 200 t/h. Meanwhile, the drying system is 42 t/h (based on wheat and corn products).
Tambovskaia Indeika not only claims to be the largest company for meat production and processing in Europe, but the project aims to break all records on the use of the latest technologies.
