Gandaria continues with the paddy rice storage project in Nigeria. Works are in the final stages of assembly.
The Project is being installed in Argungu, Kebbi state, Nigeria and is made up of six flat bottom silos with a total capacity of 18.000 tons of paddy rice.
Silo technology used here includes the most advanced silo insulation techniques. With that purpose, silos have double sheet to insulate the internal steel sheet from the external weather conditions. To maximize the efficiency of the system, between the double wall sheets, we have installed glass wool to insulate the complete structure even more. As a final touch, we added white lacquered wall rings.
Equipment such as aeration system, control temperature system, level sensors and fumigation silo compatible are also included in all silos to get a complete automatic management system, not only for the loading and unloading process, but also for measuring the key parameters to control the paddy rice quality.
Part of the scope supply are catwalks and structure supports as well as the handling equipment. This project includes bucket elevators, chain conveyors, screw conveyors and belt conveyors. All of them are controlled and managed along the silo equipment thanks to the electrical panel and software supplied by Silos Córdoba.
