Ecologica Lamarca’s new storage facility is ready. The silos will be used for the storage of grape and sunflower seeds.

We have just delivered a new storage facility for Ecologica Lamarca cooperative. Silos will be used for storage of sunflower seeds for the production of sunflower oil – a very popular cooking oil – and grapeseeds for the production of grapeseed oil – which is getting popular due to its various health benefits.-

It has a mild, almost bland flavor and won’t over power delicate flavors. Grape seed oil also has a relatively high smoke point (400 – 425°F), making it perfect for pan searing delicate sea foods such as fresh scallops, shrimp, and oysters. Grape seed oil is low in saturated fat and high in polyunsaturated fat. It is perfect for salad dressings, high heat pan-frying or sautéing, and as an everyday oil.

Grape seed oil is also a preferred cosmetic ingredient for controlling moisture of the skin. Light and thin, grape seed oil leaves a glossy film over skin when used as a carrier oil for essential oils in aromatherapy. It contains more linoleic acid than many other carrier oils (more information).

The project consists of 3 silos 14.51/15, with a capacity of 3,000 m3 each, including handling equipment 120 tons/hour and walkways supported on towers.

It has been erected in the town of Martos (Jaen, Spain) by our team at assembly company Montaje Silos S.L.
