VIV Asia is the largest fair in the sector throughout Southeast Asia and covers all areas related to policy and legislation, economic, industrial food processes, animal health, animal care, ingredients and additives, equipment for farms, egg processing, meat, etc.
Thailand is a mature market where it is difficult to grow, so this show is very interesting to initiate contacts with distributors throughout Asia because of the wide geographical diversity of visitors from Japan and South Korea, to India or Sri Lanka.
The main trends and innovations presented in the 2013 edition, that the ICEX stated in his report, focused on three main areas:
Technology in processed food chain.
- As for technological solutions in food manufacturing, conferences were based on aspects such as the use of digital engineering in production, agricultural process automation and optimization efficiency. Grain storage, the use of science in agricultural production were other issues discussed in the fair.
Veterinary products.
- The main veterinary news focused on reducing antibiotic drugs, preventive vaccination and treatment of common diseases in pigs and cattle as salmonella.
Food security.
- The fair has also sought to place special emphasis on food security, especially from the point of view of animal nutrition. In recent years, Asia is increasing its production of enriched protein foods, so that the requirements of food security must be increasingly present in the market. VIV Asia has been presented as a suitable place for the presence of active laboratories in food and feed analysis.
