Fifteen engineers visited the Science and Technology Park of Cordoba and its companies.
About fifteen students of the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Córdoba (UCO) visited Rabanales 21, the Science and Technology Park of Córdoba, to learn about the facilities, the services they provide and the companies that are installed in this centre of technology.
The meeting was completed with a visit to the facilities of Silos Córdoba, a benchmark company of Rabanales 21 in the field of engineering and internationalisation. The company specialises in the manufacture of steel silos for grain storage, as well as the engineering, development and assembly of facilities for industrial and agricultural use.
The students have learnt, through the explanations of the production director, Antonio Ríos, the operation of the production plant and the organisation of the processes they carry out in their company. One of the topics that has aroused most interest among the students has been the application of ‘Lean’ methodology, a system of continuous improvement of processes, both in manufacturing and in services.
Ramón Rueda, professor of Business Management at the University, stressed the importance of bringing the reality of the Science and Technology Park of Córdoba to University students and thanked Gandaria for their time and dedication.
