Last May, the port of Montevideo held the ceremony to inaugurate the construction of the new Obrinel bulk grain terminal at the north end of the port. Gandaria is provinding the silos of 10,000 tons, 27.50/17 model with Z-600 sheet, providing greater warranty against corrosion, with minimum resistance to winds of 180 km / h, central tower 9.3 x 9.3 x 45 meters high, secondary tower of 9 x 7 x 28 meters high, weighing center 12 x 6.5 meters and accessories.
The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Uruguay, José Mujica, the Minister of Transport and Public Works Mr Enrique Pintado, the president of the ANP Naval Ing Alberto Diaz, as well as other public and private representatives.
With an investment of $ 100 million, the creation of 400 jobs and a design with the most advanced environmental concepts, the grain terminal will enable the storage of 210 thousand tons of grain and 7,000 tons of wood chips.
The project will be a reality in April 2015.
