The magazine Actualidad Económica, with the support of Bankia, has given awards to Business Success in Córdoba during an event that has taken place in the Real Círculo de la Amistad.
According to the director of Actualidad Económica, Miguel Angel Belloso, “the only certainty in Spain is that the economy is doing very well and that this year, if everything goes fine, it will grow by almost 3%, twice as much as the European Union.” However, to ensure this progress, Belloso said that it is necessary that “the policies implemented persevere in the control of public spending and in the structural reforms necessary to improve the growth potential.”
During the event, Dámaso Quintana, president of Cunext Copper, received the Best Entrepreneur Award; Blanca Torrent, general manager of Aceitunas Torrent, won the Best Business Path Award; COVAP was recognized with the Best Business Initiative Award.
Steel silos manufacturer Gandaria was awarded the Innovation Prize for having designed a new enclosed belt conveyor and being one of the leading companies in the sector. Founded in 1975, the company has its main headquarters in the Science and Technology Park of Córdoba, employs more than 140 people and exports to 45 countries in four continents.
Aceites Canoliva received the Bankia Award for the Best Small Business, Almazaras de la Subbética won an award in the category of Job Creation,
Wug Gum Functional was awarded the Revelation Award and finally, Iluminaciones Ximénez was the winner of the recognition of the Best International Strategy.
