The Kazakh agricultural market has not yet exploited its full potential. The agricultural area of Kazakhstan comprises 80 m hectare, among them 25 m hectare farmland and about 50 m hectare pastures. Due to the low degree of mechanization the crop yields are way below its potential. To increase the productivity the government subsidizes the agricultural industry. Until 2020, up to 15 billion Euro are to be invested in this sector. The country is a large sales market especially for agricultural engineering – since there is no competitive local machinery production – as well as equipment and products for animal husbandry and for the meat and dairy industry.
Participation in the leading agricultural trade fair KazAgro/KazFarm opens up the possibility to meet with dealers of agricultural equipment and machinery, agrifood enterprises, representatives of politics and administration of Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) support this exhibition.
Exhibitions will take place on October 27-29, 2014 in the exhibition center «Korme» in Astana.
