Following a clearly defined strategy for the group, we expanded our business in Southeast Asia, introducing us to new markets such as Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Although we started our journey through Southeast Asia in 2006 with the entry into Vietnam and Thailand, it was not until this year 2012 when we really made our commitment to bet on this market. Throughout the 2012 Gandaria has been present in the most important international trade fairs about livestock farming:
- VICTAM. Bangkok, Thailand. From 15 to 17 February.
- Grain Global Asia. Singapore. From 13 to 15 March
- Indo Livestock. Jakarta, Indonesia. From 4 to 6 July
- Agrilink. Manila, Philippines. From 4 to 6 October
- Poultry India. Hyderabad, India. From 28 to 30 November.
- ISRMAX. New Delhi, India. From 13 to 15 December.
Besides our participation in international fairs, the strategy has also been focused on participation in various trade missions organized by associations such as Agragex, Extenda or ICEX. This way, we could learn more about Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia markets, all of them, commercial activities of great interest for the group.
Thanks to this strategy we’ve had the support of local companies in the countries to which we have addressed. This joint collaboration has led to an extension of the Gandaria commercial network, while making a foothold on the Asian market.
We know that entering new markets is not an easy or short process. It involves a prior study and assessment to set a clear strategy. At Silos Córdoba, we knew that we had to do a significant investment on financial and human resources to put the strategy in place. Now, only a year after the project has begun, we are seeing the first successful results.
